Folk Tale Tours of Exeter

Explore a city steeped in myth and legend on one of our two regular walking tours.

Ales and Tales

Starting outside Exeter Central station and finishing at the Ship Inn, this tour takes you through the city with tales of the local area, including stories of Sir Francis Drake.

Drewer and Brewers

Hear tales of the Drewer, the Devil of Devon, riding across the moors, alongside stories of the strange folk who have made their mark on history and myth. The tour starts outside Exeter Central station and ends at the Quay.

Storytelling Shows

From bars and festivals to ghost walks and schools, the Old Wyvern’s one-man show brings around two hours of strange tales and madcap myth to your audience.
